More About Living In Castleberry Hill
Castleberry Hill is an urban and artistic neighborhood. Every month residents and visitors enjoy the 2nd Friday Art Stroll. The neighborhood charm comes from the fact that so many old industrial buildings have been preserved and renovated into loft condos. Plus the new condos being built today reflect the vintage character and charm of the neighborhood.
Vintage Industrial Lofts
There are over two dozen vintage loft buildings in Castleberry Hill. For example: 330 Peters, Bee Lofts, Castleberry Point, Castleberry Row, Deer Lofts, Fairside Lofts, G.E. Lofts, Kingan and Company, Market Lofts, Mueller Lofts, Swift and Company and West Lumber Lofts. In fact, these lofts are such an important part of the neighborhood there is even an annual Loft Tour!
If you want to live in a cool brick, timber or concrete loft, you’ll find the best selection in Castleberry Hill. Not that there aren’t other neighborhoods to consider. For example, you’ll find awesome vintage lofts in places like Old Fourth Ward and there’s always Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts in Cabbagetown or West Inman Lofts and others in Inman Park.
And, many old industrial loft buildings have been converted to stunning residential loft homes. In fact, classic loft conversions are the major form of housing in the neighborhood. Many of these authentic industrial lofts are working artist studio lofts but most are residential lofts.
New Contemporary Condos
In recent years, many new construction condos have been built. The latest in 2019 is Castleberry Station Drive. These new condo buildings are surrounded by old railroad buildings. The old structures provide the neighborhood with its gritty and authentic personality.
Vintage or new, Castleberry Hill lofts and condos for sale are similar to those found in the former industrial areas of other major American cities. For example, our sister company Best Chicago Properties is located in Chicago’s former industrial West Loop neighborhood. It’s an area similar in many ways to Castleberry Hill. And, when we have clients relocating from the West Loop to Atlanta they want an artistic neighborhood with urban loft living. We take them to Castleberry Hill.
